Village Market reserves the right to change any of its policies without notice at any time
Dress Code
To abide by safety and health codes, we ask all our customers to always wear shoes, shirts and lower-body garments while in the store. Failure to follow this policy may result in management asking you to leave.
Wheeled Recreational Devices
For safety reasons, customers are not allowed to use any wheeled recreational device while in the store. A bicycle rack is located on the outside of the building for customer convenience. Excluding large devices (bicycles, unicycles, etc.), you may bring your wheeled recreational device into the store, but you must carry it with you and not use it. Failure to follow this policy may result in management asking you to leave.
Wheeled recreational devices extend, but aren't limited to: Automatic/powered wheeled devices, bicycles, scooters, skateboards, skates, unicycles.

10% off most regularly-priced store-only items when purchasing a full case*
SAU EMPLOYEES
10% off most regularly-priced store-only items plus 25% off most Deli items**
*Sale, special promotion, marked-down and clearance items are not eligible for any discount - cannot combine multiple discounts - cannot mix multiple items together to "create" a full case - the following brands are not eligible for any discount: Chilli Man, Companion, Ensemble, Kaffree (Roma), Loma Linda, Morningstar Farms, Vegetarian Plus, Worthington
**Deli-made cooler salads, spreads and meat sub slices & rolls are not eligible for any discount - discount only for current SAU FT/PT/Temp employees, as well as current VM student employees
Pre-Orders
- Pre-orders do not guarantee shipment from supplier
- A minimum of 1 case pre-order will be sold to customers at the latest Village Market everyday retail pricing, minus a 10% discount*, unless specific, prior negotiations were set between the customer and Village Market management
- Pre-orders consisting of less than a full case of product are not eligible to receive a 10% case discount
- Pre-orders must be picked up and paid for within 14 days of when Village Market contacts the customer to notify them that their product is in**
*Some items are not eligible to receive the 10% case discount - please speak with an associate for more information
**If customers do not pick up their pre-order(s) within the 14-day deadline, Village Market reserves the right to release it into the store's inventory
Returns
- Returns must be within 30 days of purchase & receipt must be present*
- Partially consumed products cannot be returned unless purchased past its expiration date, or if the product is generally considered “bad”
- No returns on marked-down or clearance items
- For "Southern"-branded items (apparel, gifts, etc.), the original barcode tags must be present, or the receipt must be present to return these items - we cannot return these items without either the original barcode tag or the receipt
- Non-consumables (toys/games/arts & crafts/general merchandise) may be returned within 30 days and with a receipt as long as criteria are met**
*Items for return can be accepted if receipt is not present (only within the 30 days of purchase), however customers will receive store credit only
**Non-consumables may be returned as long as the original box/container is still intact without any damage and all pieces and/or items of the product are present and in good condition (any outer plastic shrink-wrap does not need to be present as long as the above rules are met)
Posted Board
- $2 per week per posting
- Minimum 1 week
- Maximum 4 weeks
- Postings must not be larger than a 4x6 index card
- Renewals must be done in-person (to keep your posting and financial details safe and accurate, we do not perform renewals over the phone or via email)
- Most postings will go on the board within 24 hours of paying (Friday postings will go up on the following Monday)
- VM employees do not make edits (if you need to change anything on your posting, you must come do so in-person (we will not make changes for you))
- Edits to an existing posting will be treated as a new posting and will result in a new charge (your new posting will not gain any time remaining on the old posting)
- ALL SALES FINAL (no refunds if you willingly remove your posting early)
Service and Emotional Support Animals
- Service animals are allowed and subject to the rules of the Americans with Disabilities Act
- Emotional/Comfort support animals are not allowed as they do not perform trained tasks a service animal would for a person with disabilities
